The Russians shelled the occupied Oleshki: Gumenyuk explained their purpose

Russian invaders once again fired at the occupied Oleshki in the Kherson region. Thus, they want to show the local population that the shelling is supposedly carried out by Ukrainian defenders.

This was reported by the speaker of the operational command “South” Natalia Gumenyuk. on the air of the national telethon. According to her, the occupiers took such tactics at the beginning of the occupation, when they broke into the Kherson region.As Gumenyuk said, when the front line was still along the Mykolaiv and Kherson regions, the invaders tried to convince the local population that it was the “Russian world” that was the “only way out” for them.

Leaving from those settlements where the invaders were based, they stood in the direction of the Defense Forces, carried out shelling, returned and did explanatory work, accuse the Armed Forces of Ukraine of shelling, – the speaker noted.

According to Gumenyuk, now the invaders are trying to immerse the local the population of the left bank into the state they create on the right bank.

“That is, shelled Kherson, settlements, near the coast, are suffering from the invaders. They are trying to do the same in the Oleshky community,” Gumenyuk said.

The fact that the invaders are trying to abandon as a way out of settlements is this is the redeployment of units, the speaker explained. This is due to the fact that our hits do not give them rest and the opportunity to stop.

The shelling of the Kherson region: what is known
