Recently, a military expert, director of Defense Express, Sergey Zgurets, said, that HIMARS systems significantly destroy all the plans of the invaders for the conduct of hostilities. Therefore, the invaders are so eager to destroy them, but they come into contact with a number of obstacles, in particular:
- The peculiarity of these MLRS is that outwardly they look like ordinary trucks. That is why their placement is difficult to determine even from a satellite. It is also difficult to distinguish HIMARS from ordinary vehicles moving along civilian highways.
- The systems are in combat positions for only a few minutes.
- The lion's share of the fighting using HIMARS is carried out at night.
According to the expert, the invaders have serious problems with the detection of these systems due to the lack of high-quality satellites and reconnaissance drones throughout the front zone. In addition, they will lack the ability to destroy targets that move quickly and change their positions.
