Russians hit Novoyakovlivka in Zaporozhye: they damaged a kindergarten, there is a victim/Collage of 24 channels
The Russians continue to deliberately destroy the civilian infrastructure of peaceful settlements. So, they hit the village of Novoyakovlovka, Kamyshevo community, in the Zaporozhye region.
This is stated in the information from the Zaporozhye regional military administration. It should be added that the shelling took place on May 18th. Then enemy shells destroyed and destroyed several houses.
Among them is a kindergarten.This once again testifies that the Russian occupiers simply kill and destroy everything they can reach. As a result of enemy shelling, one person also died.

Another enemy shell hit one of the most beautiful buildings in Orekhovo – the historical house of the Mennonite Johan Janzen, which was built in the 70s of the XIX century. Previously, the Orekhovsky City Council operated in it.
The invaders are literally trying to erase Ukrainian history, so they do not refuse to destroy important architecture from different eras. The windows in the building were damaged and the entrance doors were broken. Debris flew into the walls and old stucco. Part of the roof and the second floor are completely destroyed.
The Zaporizhia Regional Military Administration reminds that the Russian invaders have already destroyed a number of historical and cultural monuments in the Zaporozhye region:
- Historical and architectural reserve “Popov's Estate”.
- Memorial ceilings to the participants of the ATO in Enerhodar.
- Zaporozhye-2 railway station.
- Former synagogue and church of St. Tikhon of Zadonsk in Huliaipole.
- House of culture in the village Malaya Tokmachka.
- Sanatorium complex on Khortitsa.
And they stole valuable collections from the Melitopol Museum of Local Lore.
What is the situation in Zaporozhye
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russian invaders are trying to regroup in the Zaporozhye direction. They can resume their offensive towards Vasilyevka-Kamensky.Advisor to the Head of the President's Office Aleksey Arestovich also reported that the invaders had gathered 3 armored personnel carriers in Vasilyevka. Now there are more occupiers in the city than local residents.
As the locals wrote to their relatives, for the first time the Russian military has more civilian population. They walk in clouds, everyone robs, steals, as usual. However, that's not the point. They are preparing to move north – to Zaporozhye, – said Arestovich.
