The Russians have not abandoned this scenario, – Sobolevsky about the “referendum” in the Kherson region

In the Kherson region, the invaders continue to prepare for a “referendum” on joining Russia. The occupiers did not refuse this, despite the lack of support from the population.

This Channel 24 was told by the first deputy chairman of the Kherson Regional Council Yuriy Sobolevsky. According to him, if this pseudo-referendum is appointed, Kherson residents need to boycott it.

Sobolevsky noted that the Russians did not abandon plans to hold a pseudo-referendum in the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson.

They have not given up on this scenario. The preparation work is not large-scale, but we see it, – said the first deputy chairman of the Kherson Regional Council.

According to him, in fact, the invaders do not want to carry it out now. Because they understand that they will not even be able to create the necessary large-scale picture.

Today they have no support from the population at all. There are no people to form the required number of commissions,” Sobolevsky said.

However, he noted, if there is a corresponding order from Moscow, the occupiers will hold a “referendum” on any date, despite the readiness and mood of Kherson residents. To do this, they will deliver several propaganda groups with TV cameras, bring in tourists who will play Kherson residents who came to vote for the region to become a Russian federation. watch the video

What should Kherson residents do in case of a “referendum”? right. Because there is still a category of people who are determined that if there is a referendum, I will go and vote for Ukraine,” he said.

The first deputy chairman of the Kherson regional council noted that there was no need to do this, because it is clear that the occupiers had already “established” all the numbers before the start of this show – regarding the turnout and the very result of this “voting”. Therefore, there should only be a boycott.

Important! Russians have been trying to hold “referendums” in the temporarily occupied territories for more than a month. But, according to the Institute for the Study of War, even the invaders themselves admit that this is impossible.

Russia is unable to hold pseudo-referenda in the occupied territories of Ukraine. The invaders have already postponed the date of their “referendum” several times.

Despite everything, the Russians continue to prepare for the “referendum” in the Kherson region. They report to the Kremlin that everything is fine and the population supports it, but in reality nothing comes out.

Meanwhile, the aggressor country is trying to discredit the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the South in its media. He does this, among other things, in order to calm the collaborators and prepare his own pseudo-referendum.
