The Russians have come up with new methods of protection: will this save aviation?

The Russians are building aircraft hangars at their airfields. Such shelters will definitely protect aircraft from attacks by UAVs with a small warhead and from attacks by cluster munitions. However, not from rocket attacks.

That is, the occupiers can protect their helicopters and planes only from very light weapons. By the way, the enemy began to build such hangars at airfields 300 kilometers from the border with Ukraine. it is necessary to use medium- and long-range missiles,” noted the instructor pilot.

We are talking about a weapon that hits at a distance of 300 to 500 kilometers. For example, about American ATACMS long-range missiles. There are 225 kilograms of explosives. Franco-British Storm Shadow/SCALP EG are also suitable. There are up to half a ton of explosives, and they fly 250 kilometers. And also German Taurus with a range of more than 500 kilometers.

Enemy aircraft in shelters can be destroyed with JASSM cruise missiles, which Ukraine can receive together with American F-16 fighters. There are also half a ton of explosives with a range of about a thousand kilometers.

This is the best option for destroying Russian planes in parking lots and at airfields. In particular, in caponiers (fortifications – 24 Channel) and shelters, noted the military expert.

Russians cannot protect their airfields

• I arrived at the airfield in temporarily occupied Lugansk on the evening of May 27. The Nebo-M radar complex was probably hit there. Parts of it can be seen on the satellite image. By the way, this airport is a logistics hub for the invaders.
• SBU UAVs attacked the Kushchevskaya military airfield in the Krasnodar region of Russia on the night of May 19. Russian aircraft were damaged during the attack. According to Channel 24 sources, there were dozens of aircraft such as Su-34, Su-27, Su-25 and MiG-29 at the airport. According to satellite images, at least two Russian aircraft were damaged.
• It was loud on the night of May 15 at the Belbek military airfield in temporarily occupied Sevastopol. The missile strike destroyed two MiG-31 interceptor fighters.
