The enemy continues to kill Ukrainians, having plans to occupy our state. Unfortunately, our children are also dying because of this.
Juvenile prosecutors reported that 220 Ukrainian children have already died because of Russia's armed aggression. Such data are based on information as of the morning of May 4.
Regions where children have suffered
According to experts, most of the children suffered in the Donetsk region – 139. There are also many victims in other regions:
- Kievskaya – 115;
- Kharkovskaya – 95;
- Chernihiv – 68;
- Kherson – 46;
- Nikolaev – 43;
- Lugansk – 37;
- Zaporizhzhya – 27 ;
- Sumskaya – 17;
- in Kyiv – 16;
- Zhytomyr – 15.
In total, more than 627 children have suffered in Ukraine as a result of the war started by Russia. Over the past 24 hours, the number of child victims has not changed – 220 children. Unfortunately, there are more injured children. Today, this figure is 407.
The Office of the Prosecutor General notes that such figures are not final. This is explained by the fact that specialists are still working to establish victims in places where active hostilities continue. They are also doing the same work in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories.
Russians are destroying educational institutions in Ukraine
Juvenile prosecutors spoke about one of the latest attacks, during which a Ukrainian child was injured. This happened on May 2 in the urban-type settlement of Vysokopole, Beryslavsky district, Kherson region. The Russian invaders conducted 2 artillery shelling of the settlement. Two shells hit a residential building. As a result, a 6-year-old girl was seriously injured. Also, due to Russian shelling, significant damage and destruction is experienced by the infrastructure of Ukraine. Bombing continues daily and the Russian occupiers are deliberately trying to destroy it. Consequently, due to such actions of the enemy, 1,584 educational institutions have already been damaged. At the same time, 118 of them were completely destroyed.
Victims of shelling by Russians
- Russian invaders mercilessly attack all of Ukraine with their missiles. In particular, another massive raid took place on May 3. There are casualties and victims. In particular, in the Dnepropetrovsk region, a man received a severe concussion. In addition, critical infrastructure facilities were destroyed.
- The enemy does not stop the large-scale shelling of the Lugansk region. People are dying there every day. On May 3, as reported by the head of the region Sergei Gaidai, Russian invaders delivered 34 strikes on residential areas of the region. 2 women died.
- The Russians do not spare the Kherson region, which was partially occupied. In particular, on May 3, Russian invaders fired on the Vysokopolska community in the region. A mother and her 5-year-old daughter were seriously injured.
