The offensive of the invaders in the Luhansk region – is that all? It may seem that the question is very self-confident, but the fact of the matter is that the main signs of the failure of the offensive of the Russian invaders from the Lugansk bridgehead are becoming visible. Also very paradoxical.
Problems of the enemy in the Lugansk region
A month ago, I said that if there is a serious resource for the offensive, the Russians will not be able to fully attack. They will only imitate this process.
For example, in the Kremennaya area, the resource of units of the 331st and 217th parachute regiments of the 98th airborne division, the 104th, 234th and 237th airborne assault regiments, the 217th and 331st parachute regiments and the reserve 31st Airborne Brigade.
In turn, on the Lugansk bridgehead, the enemy is observing:
- a critical lack of equipment, especially an acute shortage of tanks, exceeding 50 – 60%;
- shortage of armored fighting vehicles, an average of 40% shortage;
- lack of proportional distribution of ammo for artillery
This group was fully formed in early February. A month has already passed, and there has not been a decisive and stubborn offensive in the direction of Liman. At the same time, after a series of failed attempts to advance to Liman, the Russians decided to go on the defensive.
Where the Russians can have at least some success
Tension is decreasing near Svatovo. Is the trip to Kupyansk cancelled? Does the left bank of the Oskol remain unattainable for the enemy? That's exactly what it was, and it was obvious. Today, Russian troops, even having some sort of foreseeable resource, are not capable of more than a local level, assault operations.
Today, for the enemy, only Bakhmut remains the only place where he can move forward very slowly, with pauses and pain. However, even this progress is now limited to the narrow direction of the northern location.
What about the rest of the front? In fact, the offensive in the Luhansk region in the occupiers bogged down before it even started. However, it is alarming that the resource collected on the Svatovo-Kremennaya line has not exhausted itself and has not been completely drained of blood. Therefore, the paradox of the situation, because in the offensive it is easier to level the resource.
