For the 87th day Ukrainian defenders and defenders have been waging a heroic struggle against the Russian occupiers. The invaders continue to attempt offensives in different directions and launch rocket attacks on our state.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported up-to-date information on the situation at the front as of 18.00 on May 21. Read more about the situation in all directions of the front in this article.
Situation in the North
On the Volyn and Polesie directions the situation is stable – no changes have been recorded.
In the Seversky direction Russian invaders fired at the settlements of the Chernihiv region from the territory of Russia. In particular, the enemy attacked Semyonovka, Bleshnya and Gorsk.
The Russians launched rocket attacks on the Zhytomyr and Poltava regions.

On the Slobozhansky directionRussians are trying to hold their positions. In order to avoid the advance of our soldiers to the state border, the infidels launched air strikes and attacked Chernoglazovka, Prudyanka, Dementievka and Ternova from artillery.
The invaders seek to resume offensive operations in the Slavic direction, to for which they are actively preparing. During the day, the Russians from artillery attacked Bolshaya Kamyshevakha and Dovgenka in the Kharkiv region.
In the direction of Donetskthe Russians are striving to break through the defenses of our troops and reach the administrative borders of the Luhansk region. The situation there is difficult – the Russians use all types of weapons they have to attack Ukrainian positions.
The Russians launched rocket attacks on Vrubovka and Bakhmut, hitting civilian infrastructure.
The Russians are also preparing to the offensive on the Limansky direction . The invaders tried to storm Lipovo, Vasilievka, Maryinka and Novomikhailovka, using artillery, but to no avail. Infidels launched a missile attack on the Nikolsky Volnovsky district.
The situation in the South
The Russians did not take offensive actions in the Novopavlovsk and Zaporozhye directions. However, infidels attacked civilian infrastructure in the districts of Vremivka, Donetsk region, Olgovskoye, Zatishya, Gulyaipol, Orekhov, Novodanilovka and Kamianske, Zaporozhye region.
Offensive actions were also not recorded in the Yuzhnobuzhsk direction. The Russians are focusing their efforts on holding positions, conducting aerial reconnaissance and equipping positions. The occupiers are shelling the settlements adjacent to the collision line with mortars and artillery.
The main thing as of the 87th day of the war
- As of May 21, the loss of Russian personnel in the war against Ukraine are about 28,850 people. Losses of equipment of infidels are considered hundreds and thousands. You can find the full current list of the enemy's losses here.
- Russian infidels launched a missile attack on a military facility in the Rivne region. Fortunately, there were no casualties, but 6 people were injured. The head of the UVA, Vitaliy Koval, urged residents of the region to avoid mass measures for 24 hours due to the threat of a second attack.
- US President Joe Biden signed a law on the allocation of additional assistance to Ukraine in the amount of $40 billion. These funds will be used to arm, support the Ukrainian economy and supply food.
