It is within these limits that the Russian mechanized brigade deploys its combat formations: first at the battalion level, then at the company level.

However, the Russians are also learning their lessons. Having created the Kharkov bridgehead, they are in no hurry to form Sumskaya. The Russians withdrew their entire main force 90 kilometers from the battle line. Standard GMLRS ammunition operates at a distance of 84 kilometers, and a 15-kilometer “buffer zone” must also be taken into account.
