Situation in Popasna is especially difficult – this is one of the hottest points of the Ukrainian front. It was almost wiped off the face of the earth.
Now the invaders are trying to surround the city and encircle it. However, enemy shelling does not subside. The mayor of the city, Nikolai Khanatov, told Channel 24 about this.
According to him, the situation is only getting worse every day. The Russians are putting pressure on Popasnaya.

However, the mayor of Popasna is not sure whether the Russian invaders will be able to do this. This is because our defenders are ready for this.
People remain in the city
He also added that our defenders are also in a very difficult situation, but they continue to repulse the enemy and protect the city . Moreover, they even support the local population in every possible way, except for the fact that they protect Popasna.
The fact is that the authorities are now unable to evacuate them, you can only get out of the city on foot in the direction of the Donetsk region, thereby endangering yourself.
Out of the 20,000-strong population of the city, only about 1,500 people remained. Approximately 50,000 civilians now remain throughout Luhansk region.

What is the current situation in Popasna: the main thing
- Earlier, the head of the Lugansk OVA, Serhiy Gaidai, reported that it was impossible to deliver humanitarian aid to Rubizhne and Popasna due to the constant shelling of the enemy. Rockets from the air arrive almost every day, rashists cynically bomb the city and practically burn it out.
