Tens of thousands of residents remain in the frontline city of Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region. Russian troops have come 11 km closer to the outskirts of the city.
This was stated by the head of the Pokrovsk MVA Sergei Dobryak on the air of the United News telethon.
Almost 60 thousand people remain in Pokrovsk
According to Dobryak, there are currently more than 59 thousand residents left in the city. Before the full-scale invasion, there were about 86 thousand people in the Pokrovskaya community.

— We see that the Russians are destroying our cities and villages, killing civilians. Therefore, we need to think about our safety here, because they are simply erasing our cities, — Dobryak said, calling on people to evacuate the Pokrovskaya community.
He said that the occupiers approached the outskirts of the city somewhere up to 11 km. Dobryak added that the city is preparing, as is the rest of the Donetsk region.
– In Donetsk Oblast, each city has a unit, a combat brigade assigned to it. City defense plans have been developed. We are given a task, and together with the military we build fortifications, — he said.
The head of the Pokrovsk MVA reported that for now all services in the city are working, that is, markets, stores, pharmacies, banks, ATMs, CPAU, etc.

Situation in the Pokrovsk direction
The day before, Ivan Sekach, head of the public relations service of the 110th separate motorized brigade named after General-ensign Mark Bezruchko, said, that the occupiers in the Pokrovsky direction do not want to lose the initiative, therefore they are constantly carrying out assault operations.
Earlier, the press officer of the 14th Ivan Bogun Operational Designation Brigade, Lieutenant Colonel Nikolai Koval reported that the Russian occupiers are continuously storming the positions of the Defense Forces in the Pokrovsky direction, since they have a significant advantage in the number of people.
