Russian occupant Denis Lyubimtsev from the Russian city of Dno illegally invaded Ukraine on February 24th. He is currently in captivity.
20-year-old Lyubimtsev crossed the border with 19 other Russian soldiers. Of the equipment, the invaders had MTLB.
The occupier was hiding from the Armed Forces for a month
Already in captivity, Lyubimtsev said that the command gave promises to his subordinates that they were going to Ukraine for only 4 days. But the Russian invaders immediately came under fire in a forest belt near the border. For 3 days, the invaders hid in the forest, for about 7 more days – in one of the factories.
Subsequently, they received a command to move to Malaya Rogan. They were based there for about 19 days, also hiding.
Already on March 23, Ukrainian troops cordoned off the group of invaders and part of the Russians surrendered. Lyubimtsev received two wounds – a shoulder and a ball wound through the abdomen. The Russian invader was saved by a Ukrainian military medic and delivered to one of the enterprises.
The wounded Russian was hit by his own people
It is interesting that when Lyubimtsev was at this enterprise, having two wounds, the Russians hit there with a rocket. A fire broke out from the shelling. When rescuers arrived at the scene, they pulled Lyubimtsev out and handed him over to the doctors.
Please note: Ukraine treats Russian prisoners of war humanely and demands humane treatment of our prisoners of war from Russia. The Ukrainian side asks the Kremlin to involve specialized international institutions to monitor the conditions of their detention.
