Russians began to complain about Margarita Simonyan after her nuclear threats directly affecting Siberians. After this, law enforcement officers conducted a check against the Kremlin propagandist.

On November 20, the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs did not reveal any violations of the legislation of the aggressor country in the words of Margarita Simonyan regarding her public calls for the use of nuclear weapons and the actual destruction of Siberians. The Center for Strategic Communications and Information Security predicts that Russian law enforcement will now begin to attack critics of this propagandist.

What preceded this

Recently, Margarita Simonyan publicly called for the use of nuclear weapons somewhere over Siberia to disable satellites, as well as radio electronics and household appliances. Thus, she proposed to scare the West and return life in Russia to 1993 levels. In her opinion, in the event of such a thermonuclear explosion, nothing terrible would seem to happen.

What was the reaction

Vladimir Putin's press secretary had to distance himself from Simonyan and explain the Kremlin's official position. Dmitry Peskov stated that Russia did not leave the nuclear testing regime. Also, the apostate of the Russian dictator noted that this propagandist does not work in official bodies, and therefore her words do not reflect the official position of the aggressor country.

State Duma deputy Maria Prusakova said that residents of Siberia took her words as a deep insult, and Novosibirsk Mayor Anatoly Lokot warned that a nuclear explosion over the region would entail consequences that Siberians would experience for hundreds of years.

Ordinary Russians were very indignant. They began writing complaints against Simonyan to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Investigative Committee. There were also many negative comments that the Kremlin propagandist deleted on her social networks.

What did Simonyan do then?

The scandalous propagandist did not apologize. Instead, she also wrote a complaint to the investigative committee and threatened critics with an article for allegedly false denunciations. The Center for Strategic Communications and Information Security notes that about 56 thousand people signed a petition demanding that Simonyan be punished, and does not rule out that the Ministry of Internal Affairs will now check these people.

What experts say about Simonyan’s odious behavior

  • Former senior officer of the KGB Foreign Intelligence Service Sergei Zhirnov previously noted in a commentary on Channel 24 that after the Russians began to complain about Simonyan to the Investigative Committee, she pretended that she had not said anything like that. In his opinion, this situation is beneficial to Ukraine, because the propagandist has portrayed Russia as a country of insanity.
  • Let us recall that military expert Sergei Grabsky said that it is pointless to seriously consider the “opinion” of the Kremlin propagandist regarding the “nucleus”. After all, the aggressor country has never tested nuclear weapons, so Moscow does not even suspect what these weapons are capable of.
