Russia seeks to organize an operational pause of at least 5 months and is using all resources for this.

Adviser to the head of the Presidential Office Mikhail Podolyak stated this on Twitter.

& #8212; The main task of Russia today — organize an operational pause for 4-5 months (minimum), sharply reducing the intensity of hostilities, stopping Ukraine's offensive operations and stopping shelling/destruction of its rear bases, — writes Podolyak.

He noted that the occupiers need a pause for:

Now they are looking at

  • rearmament of the army;
  • additional mobilization;
  • training;
  • organizing new logistics;
  • deploying additional military production capacity;
  • forming “a coalition of the war-weary” to put pressure on societies in different countries.

— All resources — are used for this purpose. informational, diplomatic, behind-the-scenes, lobbying. However, any “pause is in the interests of Russia” will in fact inevitably lead to further escalation, — Podolyak said.

The Advisor recalled that only the military defeat of the Russian Federation in the occupied territories will lead to peace.
