The situation at the front in Ukraine remains difficult. Russian troops are trying to attack the positions of the Defense Forces. And on the border with the Chernigov and Sumy regions, the Russian Federation maintains a military presence, shells populated areas and carries out sabotage and reconnaissance activities.
The morning report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine states that yesterday, July 20, aviation and missile forces and artillery hit the Russian control post, artillery system, radar station, nine areas where enemy personnel and military equipment were concentrated.
Situation at the front — what happens in different directions
In Kharkov direction Russian troops continued active operations. A total of seven military clashes took place. The fighting took place in the areas of the settlements of Volchansk and Glubokoe, noted the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In Kupyansk direction the Russian army attacked the positions of Ukrainian units 13 times. Defense forces repelled assaults near seven settlements. The occupiers concentrated their main efforts in the areas of Berestovoe and Stelmakhovka.
On Limansky direction Ukrainian defenders repulsed 11 attacks of the invaders near Nevsky and Makeevka, as well as towards Lozovaya.
On Northern directionThe Ukrainian Armed Forces repulsed 11 assault actions — near Belogorovka, Verkhnekamensky, Spirnoy, Vyemka and Perezdny.
On Kramatorsk direction Ukrainian soldiers stopped 20 attempts by Russian invaders to break through our defenses. In particular, in the areas of Chasovoy Yar, where more than half of these clashes were recorded, Kleshcheevka, Kalinovka and Andreevka of the Donetsk region.
On Pokrovsky direction Ukrainian defense forces repulsed 52 assault and offensive actions. The Russian Army concentrated its efforts in the areas of Novoaleksandrovka and Progress, where it carried out 16 and 17 attacks respectively.
At the same time, the occupiers tried to move forward, but Ukrainian defenders stopped them near Vozdvizhenka, Lozovatsky, Novoselovka Pervaya, Yasnobrodovka and Karlivka in the Donetsk region.
On Kurakhovsky direction The Ukrainian Armed Forces are holding back the enemy in the areas of the settlements of Krasnogorovka, Georgievka, Paraskoveyevka and Konstantinovka, where Russian troops tried to break through the defenses of our soldiers 15 times .
On Vremovsky direction Russian invaders carried out six assaults on Ukrainian positions near Konstantinovka and Staromayorsky, Donetsk region.
On Orekhovsky direction seven military clashes were recorded in the areas of Malaya Tokmachka, Shcherbakov and Novodanilovka. The Russian Army launched more than fifty unguided aerial missiles towards Kamensky and Lobkovo.
On Dnieper direction Ukrainian defenders managed to repulse 11 attacks by Russian troops on the left bank of the Dnieper River.
