The losses of Russian troops in the Avdeevka area (Donetsk region) are larger than they were at Bakhmut.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky stated this in an evening video message.
He said that today he held a conference call at which intelligence, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny, the SBU, and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov reported. They talked about the situation at the front, in particular, about specific directions – Avdeevka, Kupyansk, Bakhmut and South.

– We must understand that Putin now has a very cynical and specific political goal. And he is ready to kill as many of his people as he wants, because he wants at least some tactical result for the first half of December. Then when he plans to announce his elections, Zelensky emphasized.
The President clarified that the Russian Federation is already losing near Avdeevka “both soldiers and equipment faster and on a larger scale than, in particular, near Bakhmut.”
Zelensky noted that it is extremely difficult to withstand such pressure from the occupiers. Therefore, every Ukrainian military man who holds positions and carries out combat missions “deserves our extreme gratitude.”
“The more Russian forces are destroyed now near Avdeevka, the worse the general situation, the general course of this war will be for the enemy,” added the head of state.

Zelensky noted the soldiers of the 53rd and 110th separate mechanized brigades, as well as the artillerymen of the 55th separate artillery brigade. All of them are fighting in the Avdiivka direction and recently “gave Ukraine the best results.”
In addition, the president noted the 57th separate motorized infantry brigade, which protects the Kupyansk direction; 68th separate Jaeger brigade fighting in the Liman direction; artillerymen of the 26th brigade, the 92nd separate assault brigade and the 30th separate mechanized brigade, which repulse the enemy in the Bakhmut direction.
