Russian invaders continue to effectively steal children from the temporarily occupied territories of the Kherson region.
In the 2.5 years since the start of the full-scale war, they have deported 1,000 minor citizens of Ukraine aged 6.5 to 16.
The Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets spoke about this on his Telegram channel.

Deportation of Ukrainian children from the temporarily occupied territories — the ombudsman's position
According to him, the occupiers are taking the children away under the pretext of introducing them to the beauty of the Russian region of Kabardino-Balkaria, as well as for health reasons.
Lubinets noted that parents often give permission for their children to be taken away thousands of kilometers from home, but under occupation it is unknown to what extent such letters were signed voluntarily.
— Children are forced to adopt not only the culture and traditions of a hostile state. A powerful resource is being used to destroy their Ukrainian identity, which in turn is part of the genocidal policy of the Russian Federation, — the ombudsman pointed out.
He emphasized that such actions by the Russian military grossly violate the rights of children and international human rights standards.
