Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, 1,068 cases of the use of chemical munitions against the Defense Forces by Russian occupiers have been recorded.
Most often these are tear irritants containing toxic substances.
— Of these, only for February 2024 – 250 cases. (244 cases of use of FOG, 1 case of use of gas and 5 cases of use of other ammunition with a chemical substance), — indicated by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Ukrainian services take samples of soil, vegetation, and ammunition debris and send them for analysis.

As part of open criminal proceedings, documented cases of the use of dangerous chemicals are provided to investigative authorities for investigative actions.
Use of chemical weapons by Russia
At the beginning of February, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that Russia carried out 815 chemical attacks against our defenders during a full-scale war.
Most often the enemy uses grenades, such as K-51, RGR, RG-Vo, containing a dangerous chemical substance CS, prohibited for warfare (combat) by paragraph 5 of Article 1 of the Chemical Weapons Convention.
