Russian troops are trying to regain the initiative by conducting multiple simultaneous offensive operations in eastern Ukraine. Although it is not clear whether Russian troops will be able to achieve this.

Now the situation at the front is very difficult, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine notes, but it is the Ukrainian troops that maintain the initiative in the most important sectors.

Earlier, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Valery Zaluzhny, said that the most difficult directions are Avdeevskoye, Kupyanskoye and Maryinskoye, but despite this, the Defense Forces continue counter-offensive actions in unidentified territories.
The Commander of the Ground Forces, Colonel General Alexander Syrsky, said that Russian troops are conducting simultaneous offensive operations in several directions and are especially trying to regain the initiative north and south of Bakhmut.
