The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania expressed a strong protest due to the violation of airspace and the discovery of new drone debris in the country. They call on Russia to stop attacks on the civilian infrastructure of Ukraine.
The Foreign Ministry noted that it has informed and is holding consultations with NATO allies about possible developments on the border between Romania and Ukraine. At the same time, the Romanian Foreign Ministry urgently calls the head of the Russian diplomatic mission.
According to the Romanian Ministry of Defense, parts of a probably Russian drone were discovered in the country after it was damaged as a result of Russian drone strikes on the morning of September 13 port infrastructure in the Izmail region in the south of Ukraine.

NATO responded that again they allegedly did not see a deliberate attack by Russia on Romania. This was stated by NATO spokesman Dylan White, commenting on the found fragments of the Shahed kamikaze drone on the territory of Romania.
Foreign journalists note that this is the third such case within a week when Romania reports the discovery of fragments of attack drones on the territory of their state after Russian attacks against Ukraine.
