Slovak and Ukrainian rescuers have been looking for the striped animal for several days. The animal was found at home in Transcarpathia.
On September 3, it became known that a tiger had escaped from the home zoo in Transcarpathia. The animal crossed the border with Slovakia and raised a real commotion among the locals.
Traveling along the eastern Slovak border
For about a week, the striped beast traveled through settlements near the eastern Slovak border. For the first time, the camera recorded the animal 5 kilometers from the village of Brezovets.
The residents and authorities of the village of Ulich were also worried. They even formed a brigade of nature guards looking for the striped animal.
The search operation was carried out in two directions: in the forests above the village of Novaya Sedlitsa and along the ridge above the village of Brezovets.
In fact, the tiger did not run anywhere

In the end, it turned out that the tiger, named Talisman, was at home all the time . Slovak journalists found out about this faster, who decided to go to the home zoo in Transcarpathia and take a comment about the flight of the animal from its owner.
The tiger does not go anywhere, then it will go to the stream swim, – said the owner of the Talisman, Bogdan.
The man also noted that the tiger has been living with him for 5 months since he arrived from the East of Ukraine, and has been at home all the time.
Fake message
According to Bohdan, the photo of the tiger, which got into the media and to the Slovak police, was really made by visitors to the zoo.
Speaker of the border department Košice Lenka Ivanova noted that she received a message about the flight of the animal from Ukrainian colleagues:
The Operations Center received information from Ukrainian colleagues that a tiger had escaped from the zoo and it should be located near the eastern border.
Who and why decided that the tiger Talisman fled to Slovakia is still unknown.
