— Ukraine is doing much better in Asia, since we have been communicating with Asia for many years and our positions there are more or less clear. There are certain positions in Africa, but they are still very weak, fragmented, — he said.
Klimkin also noted that Latin America, in particular Brazil and Mexico, are very difficult for Ukraine. And even partial success in dialogue with these states will be a big plus for us.
— They must work in Asia, because there are countries there that can indirectly, if not directly, influence the Russian regime. China can, India can, ASEAN countries (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, — Ed.) can, — he added.
In addition, Klimkin noted a positive aspect in building relations with the states of the Global South — Ukraine began to better understand the non-Western world. According to him, we have learned to coordinate our efforts between civil society, business and the state.
