Back in 2020, Lviv began work on the restoration of one of the greatest shrines of the city – the Garrison Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul. Two years later, the repair work was completed.

Mayor Andrei Sadovyi said that As of July 12, the main repair work on the facade of the temple has already been completed. He showed what the shrine looks like after restoration.
It is familiar that for the temple holiday of the Garrison Church of Peter and Paul, the main repair work of the facade was completed … An amazing result. Thanks to all the international partners who joined these changes,” Sadovyi said.
He also stressed that the restoration lasted 2 years. And now it is finally completed.
According to him, today the garrison temple has become one of the cult for all Lviv residents – here they pray for the Ukrainian military, meet with them and see them off on their last journey.

Note: the total cost of the work is about 7 million hryvnias. The restoration of the main facade of the temple was carried out at the expense of the city budget by order of the Department for the Protection of the Historical Environment of the Lviv City Council. Helped financially and the Ministry of Culture of Poland.
