The first exit poll results for the presidential elections are being published in Belarus, while international politicians are already publishing their opinions on the event. The head of the Polish Foreign Ministry responded to the election results with irony.

More than 80% of voters voted for Lukashenko

It is interesting that among the five candidates for the post of President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko received 87.6% of the votes. This did not come as a surprise.

Although earlier Alexander Lukashenko said that he would not go to the elections, but he was forced to do so “due to the lack of an alternative.”

Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski remembered political prisoners when he published his reaction to the “unexpected” exit polls in the elections in Belarus.

Neither the European Union nor Ukraine recognize the elections in Belarus as legitimate. On January 26, Belarusians elected their president, but the rules were not followed at the polling stations: there were no international observers and there were no curtains in the voting booths.

Self-proclaimed President Lukashenko once again became the main contender, each of his four competitors received about 2%. 5.1% of voters voted against all of them in the current elections.
