The Bakhmut direction continues to be the epicenter of hostilities. The Russians are constantly storming the city, inflicting hundreds of attacks a day. That is why the relevance of the content of Bakhmut is constantly growing.
The Russians throw more of their forces into the Bakhmut direction and suffer colossal losses. The Armed Forces of Ukraine note that this is why every day of the defense of the city allows us to gain time for the preparation of future offensive operations. This was stated by the commander of the Ground Forces, Colonel-General Alexander Syrsky.
Armed Forces of Ukraine disrupt the plans of the aggressor in Bakhmut
In this direction, the enemy spends the most prepared and combat-ready part of his troops – the assault detachments of the Wagnerites. However, the defense of the city continues and is very important for the future actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Alexander Syrsky emphasizes that the defense of the city allows Ukrainian defenders in the rear to accumulate and form reserves.
This once again proves the very important role of Bakhmut in the overall defense system of our group. Thousands of enemies who died during the storming of the city are a vivid confirmation of this. I am proud of the courage and heroism of our warriors, who frustrate the plans of the aggressor with their stamina,” said Syrsky.
The owner of the Wagner PPC, Prigozhin, repeatedly noted the need to capture Bakhmut. This, the invaders believe, will allow them to launch a large-scale offensive with the use of army and airborne units on military equipment.
Stubborn battles in this direction of the front continue, every day the deterrence of the enemy reduces their offensive potential. At the same time, the Ukrainian defenders manage to inflict significant losses on the Russians – both personnel and equipment.
