The refrigerator begins to win: what could change Russian war plans

by alex

At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Ukrainians hoped for protests from the Russians or the military against the war, but now it seems that nothing worries the citizens of the terrorist country. However, every day new problems appear in Russia, arising as a result of Russian aggression.

About this 24 Channel said ex-SBU officer Ivan Stupak. He suggested whether there are factors that could change the position of Russian residents regarding the bloody war in Ukraine.

“Judging by what I see in the Russian media: not propaganda, and those who are in exile. I say it with caution, it seems to me that the refrigerator is starting to win,” Stupak noted.

Complex influence

The war in Ukraine is slowly but surely destroying the Russian economy. Ordinary citizens are already actively feeling the negative consequences of Vladimir Putin’s “foreign” policy. In particular, at the end of 2023, a shortage of eggs arose in Russia.

Food shortages greatly affect Russians. After all, it’s hard for them to come to terms with how Olivier salad will be without eggs,” added the ex-SBU employee.

Russians have questions and therefore are in emergency mode to Russia without import duties forced to import eggs from Azerbaijan, Turkey, etc. Alternatively, this problem arose because of the military, Stupak noted. After all, according to old Soviet canons, a Russian military man must eat at least one egg a day.

Russian civil aviation is also suffering. In December alone, there were more incidents in the air with civilian Russian aircraft than in the entire last year.

“Civil aircraft are now making emergency landings. However, there will probably be the first plane crashes were precisely because of sanctions. I think that everything in the complex will be influenced by the possible emergence of a movement that will oppose Putin and the Kremlin. But again, this is not a fact,” summed up the ex-SBU employee.

Incidents with Russian planes

  • Fire in the sky over Buryatia cargo airplane. The TU-204 board took off from Baikal airport and literally a few minutes later the left engine of the aircraft caught fire. The pilot of the plane even had to dump fuel in the air to escape.
  • On December 8, the S7 plane made an emergency landing in Novosibirsk due to an engine fire. The fire occurred almost immediately after takeoff. There were about 200 people on board.
  • At Moscow's Vnukovo airport on December 11, due to a landing gear malfunction, a UTair airline board made an emergency landing. There were 104 passengers and 5 crew members on the plane. The board also carried 19 kg of radioactive substance.
