A bill appeared in the Verkhovna Rada proposing to recognize the state sovereignty of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria. The corresponding draft resolution No. 7551 was registered by 2 people's deputies.

According to the website of the parliament, the bill was registered by people's deputies Alexei Goncharenko and Musa Magomedov.

The text of the document has not yet been made public. It should appear later. Goncharenko commented on the bill in his telegram, explaining its essence. He recalled that Russia seized the territory of Ichkeria by force, including it in Russia as the Chechen Republic.

Pay attention! Now the military from Ichkeria is fighting on the side of Ukraine against Russia.

Therefore, I urge my colleagues to adopt this resolution as soon as possible and invite the President of Ukraine to recognize the independence of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria,” Goncharenko said.

He will also appeal to the EU states, the United States and other countries to support this initiative. Goncharenko stressed that Ichkeria should be free and independent from Russia.
