The Public Anti-Corruption Council under the Ministry of Defense asks the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) to deal with two companies that disrupted the supply of weapons to the Ukrainian army: the Polish Alfa Sp z oo and Lviv Arsenal LLC.
The publication Ukrainskaya Pravda writes about this with reference to the statement of the Chairman of the Public Council, Yevgeny Grushovets, to the Director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, Semyon Krivonos.
Several risky counterparties with signs of corruption risks and dishonesty came to the attention of the Public Council.

Thus, Alfa is engaged in non-specialized wholesale trade, has no tax reporting and appears in criminal proceedings for the supply of low-quality ammunition. However, it entered into agreements with the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, which resulted in a debt of almost 95.6 million euros.
And the Lviv Arsenal specializes in professional, scientific and technical activities, but entered into a contract with the Ministry of Defense and did not supply a single shell or special vehicle for the army. Under this contract, a lawsuit is currently being considered for claims totaling more than UAH 1.5 billion.
Similar problems are observed in state-owned companies of Ukraine, with which the Ministry of Defense has entered into contracts for the supply of weapons and military equipment, the Public Council notes.
Grushovets asks Krivonos to investigate these facts and give them a proper legal assessment as part of the pre-trial investigation.
A criminal complaint was also filed with NABU against the two mentioned companies, so the Bureau is obliged to open appropriate proceedings.

Polish Alfa entered into three agreements in April 2022 worth about UAH 3.3 billion (almost 64.4 million euros). For each of them, the company received a 50% advance.
It was about the supply of several self-propelled howitzers Gvozdika, 122-mm ammunition for the D-30 howitzer and 122-mm missiles for Grad.
As far as the UP knows, only a small number of the contracted weapons arrived. Only a tenth of the supplies for the D-30 arrived very late, a third of the missiles for Grad, and although all of the Gvozdiki arrived, they were in such a condition that they definitely do not correspond to the technical class stated in the agreement, and the Ministry of Defense is now trying to extort compensation from the supplier .
