The President of Romania commented on the fall of an enemy drone/Channel 24 Collage

The Romanian Ministry of Defense confirmed that a crater from a drone was found on their territory. The country's president said that the fall of enemy drones increases the risk of escalation.

An enemy drone fell again in Romania

  • Russia launched from the northern and southern directions on the evening of October 11, namely from the Belgorod region of Russia and Cape Chauda in Crimea, kamikaze drones of the “Shahed” type.
  • The Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said that they shot down enemy drones over 6 regions of Ukraine. Our military recorded the enemy launching 33 Shahed-type drones. Of these, 28 were shot down by our military.
  • Unfortunately, the invaders hit the Odessa region. In particular, the occupiers recorded damage to port infrastructure and residential buildings in the Izmail region. Fires broke out there, which rescuers extinguished.
  • Subsequently, the Romanian Ministry of Defense announced that they had discovered a crater from a drone. The department explained that there may have been an explosion at the crash site. The funnel was found in the vegetation area on the right bank of the Kiliya branch. It is approximately 3 kilometers west of the Romanian village of Plaur.
