The President is asked to change the head of the Chernivtsi OVA: a corresponding petition has been created

On the site of electronic petitions, an appeal appeared to the president with a request to dismiss the head of the Chernivtsi OVA Serhiy Osachuk. A significant reason was the scandal with fraud with humanitarian aid.

The author of the petition noted that Osadchuk worked inefficiently even before the war. He said he did not establish work between the settlements of the region and the regional administration. >Systematic violations of volunteer assistance from European countries: humanitarian aid and the scandal with the embezzlement of an ambulance, direct involvement in transactions in wartime, as the head of the military administration, the text of the petition says.

The author asks President Volodymyr Zelensky dismiss Osachuk, because public dissatisfaction with his work negatively affects the reputation of the Chernivtsi region and Ukraine as a whole.

Deputy head of UVA suspected of deals with humanitarian aid

On June 1, the Security Service of Ukraine reported that it exposed the deputy head of the Chernivtsi OVA in a humanitarian aid scheme. According to the investigation, the official was responsible for the distribution of ambulances transferred from Italy. In Ukraine, they were supposed to be used for free care for the sick. The deputy chairman of the OVA, together with the director of one of the regional hospitals, decided to provide 5 ambulances for commercial purposes, that is, to transport patients for money. For this, the director of the hospital re-registered the ambulances as his charitable organization.

On this fact, law enforcement officers opened a criminal case. It concerns the article on the misappropriation of property by abuse of official position by prior conspiracy by a group of persons, committed on an especially large scale and under martial law. Currently, the pre-trial investigation of the case is ongoing.

Six-hour searches in the regional administration

On June 10, security forces visited the building of the Chernivtsi District Police Department. There was no official information about their cause. Channel 24 journalists contacted the State Bureau of Investigation, the Security Service of Ukraine, the Office of the Prosecutor General and the National Police, but did not receive any information about the investigative actions.

Despite this, local media wrote that the searches lasted more than 6 hours. All employees were released from work and were not missed until the end of the investigation. Osachuk said that his office was allegedly not searched.
