As of December 27, the power deficit in the Ukrainian energy system has slightly decreased. This was due to an increase in the production of power plants.
After emergency repair work, a unit at one of the thermal power plants, which was damaged during the last Russian missile attack, was switched on to the network. Recall that the energy system of Ukraine may stabilize by the summer, but there is an important condition.

Energy officials say that the available capacity in the system is still not enough to meet all the needs of consumers in the country. Because the level of consumption in the energy system has also increased. This is due to the gradual return to operation of the power grids damaged during massive attacks, as well as the restoration of the energy infrastructure in the de-occupied territories.
Accordingly, the number of consumers who have at least partially restored power supply has also increased, and the volume of industry consumption is also growing.
In this regard, consumption limits have been brought to all regions, exceeding which leads to the need for emergency shutdowns to balance the power system .
