The Pentagon is quietly increasing arms supplies to Israel – Bloomberg

The Pentagon has been quietly ramping up military aid to Israel, including increased supplies of laser-guided missiles for Apache attack helicopters, as well as 155mm artillery shells, night vision goggles, bombs for attacking hardened underground sites and new army vehicles.

Bloomberg reports this.

Weapons supplies to Israel go beyond the Iron Dome missile package and Boeing Co. smart bombs.

The weapons Israel requires to fight Hamas are listed in an October document called Request by Israel's Senior Leader. Bloomberg notes that the weapons are either already being transferred or the US Department of Defense is working to obtain them from stockpiles in the US and Europe.

As of the end of October, for example, all 36 thousand ammunition for 30 mm cannons, 1.8 thousand M141 ammunition for bunker destruction and at least 3.5 thousand night vision devices had been delivered.

This security assistance continues to arrive almost daily, the Department of Defense said in a statement. The United States is promptly supplying precision-guided munitions, small-diameter projectiles, 155mm artillery shells and other ammunition. In addition, interceptor missiles for the Iron Dome and medical aid equipment are supplied.

Munitions for the AH-64 Apache helicopters include about 2,000 laser-guided Hellfire missiles manufactured by Lockheed Martin Corp. It also includes over 36,000 rounds of 30mm Apache gun ammunition.

The Israeli Defense Forces have been flying Apaches built by Boeing for many years.
