The Pentagon recalled that this will be the 23rd Ramstein meeting since the creation of the international group by Austin in April 2022.

The meeting will bring together defense ministers and senior military leaders from nearly 50 countries to discuss continued support for Ukraine to ensure it has the capabilities it needs to defend its sovereign territory.

US Department of Defense spokesman Patrick Ryder said during a briefing at the Pentagon that discussions will likely focus, in particular, on further efforts to strengthen Ukraine's air defense capabilities, as well as on strengthening the defense industrial base in Ukraine and throughout the bloc.

In Brussels, the head of the Pentagon will also take part in a meeting of NATO defense ministers, which will take place on June 14 at the bloc's headquarters.
