The rebel offensive continues in Syria. The US has not officially expressed support for the operation. Most likely, they do not want to make such decisions until the newly elected President Donald Trump enters the White House.

However, it is possible that the States approved the operation of the Syrian opposition. This opinion was voiced to Channel 24 by the editor-in-chief of the portal “Ukraine in Arabic” Mohammad Farajallah.

“They are not doing anything directly yet. Because they all do not want to make decisions until Trump enters the White House. But, most likely, they approved this position, this operation,” he suggested.

Democratic forces have not yet entered the battle

Mohammad Farajallah noted that the Syrian democratic forces, where the Kurdish pro-American units are located, have not yet entered the battle. They are probably waiting for the right moment.

On the map of influence of forces in Syria, the eastern and northern parts are under the Syrian democratic forces. It was from there that the pro-Iranian forces from Iraq wanted to penetrate. Now they will be able to block them, they can enter there. Therefore, this operation is really just beginning, – emphasized the editor-in-chief of “Ukraine in Arabic”.

Recall that the GUR reported that Russian forces in Syria are currently retreating chaotically, but clinging to the slightest opportunity to maintain their influence. The Russians are depressed due to the successes of the opposition forces – the capture of Aleppo, military operations in the Hama region and the advance to Homs.
