Ukraine has proposed its own vision of security guarantees/Office of the President of Ukraine
The security guarantees that are being discussed in Istanbul today are good. It's even better when they're “guaranteed”.
We live in a world where only strength and fighting spirit guarantee anything. Ukrainians are the only ones who have shown and proved this.
A question of faith
Who believes in any guarantees from the Putin regime? Apparently no one. Even Putin himself.
Who believes in the desire of the entire West to make any sacrifice for the sake of Ukraine, including a nuclear conflict. The same question.
Issues of guarantees
Therefore, the story around guarantees to Ukraine will work only when we strengthen our security potential at times: from people to weapons.
Russia may take a break, but it will never stop destroying Ukraine. Either we are strong, or we need a NATO nuclear umbrella, or the United States, which is actually almost the same thing.
Then talking about external guarantees makes sense. And all the same: the best guarantee of our security is the Ukrainians, people who inspire and go crazy: in a good sense, the world.
