The Ukrainian military is holding back Russian invaders who are trying to seize new territories. The enemy is shelling the positions of our troops along the line of confrontation.
Updated information about the situation on the fronts on the morning of September 28 was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The invaders continue to try to completely occupy the Donetsk region, as well as to hold the previously occupied territories and disrupt the active operations of the Defense Forces in certain areas. The enemy strikes at civilian infrastructure and civilian dwellings. The threat of air and missile strikes remains throughout Ukraine.
Over the past day, the enemy launched 10 missile and 17 air strikes, carried out more than 105 shellings from MLRS. The Russian invaders also hit civilian targets, violating the norms of International Humanitarian Law, the laws and customs of warfare. More than 40 settlements suffered from enemy fire. In particular:
- Kharkiv,
- Slavyansk,
- Kramatorsk,
- Nikolaev,
- Avdiivka ,
- Maryinka.
What is the situation in the northern regions
In the Volyn and Polesye directions the situation has not changed significantly. In other directions, the enemy shelled settlements from tanks, mortars and artillery of various types. In particular, in the Slobozhansky direction, it was restless in the areas of the settlements of Strelechya, Sosnovka, Krasnoye and Grushevka.
What is the situation in Donbass
The enemy fired:
- on the Kramatorsk direction – Redkodub, Ekaterinovka and Staryi Caravan;
- on the Bakhmut direction – Controversial, Seversk, Serebryanka, New York, Bakhmutskoye, Veselaya Dolina, Yakovlevka, Belogorovka and Razdolevka;
- on the Avdeevsky direction – Avdeevka, Berdychi , Experienced, Water, Thin, Krasnogorovka, Karlovka, Maryinka and Paraskoveevka.
Over the current day, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled attacks in the areas of the settlements of Zaitsevo, Mayorsk, Zaliznoye, Nikolaevka Second, Pervomayskoye, Pobeda, Novomikhailovka and Bezymennoe.
What's going on in the South
On the Novopavlovsk and Zaporozhye directions more than 25 settlements were shelled from tanks, mortars and cannon artillery. Among them are Nikolskoye, Ugledar, Prechistovka, Neskuchnoye, Novonikolaevka, Vremevka, Temirovka and Olgovskoye.
In the Yuzhnobuzhsky direction more than 30 settlements along the line of contact were hit by fire. In order to conduct reconnaissance, adjust fire and strike at civilian infrastructure, the enemy made more than 25 drone sorties.
Achievements of our Armed Forces in a day
Aviation of the Defense Forces inflicted 17 strikes. The defeat has already been confirmed:
- 14 areas of concentration of manpower and military equipment of the enemy,
- 3 strongholds and 7 positions of anti-aircraft missile systems.
< p>In addition, during the day, Ukrainian air defense units destroyed an enemy aircraft, 6 drones and 1 X-59 guided air missile.
Missile troops and artillery hit 12 enemy manpower and equipment concentration areas, 4 warehouses with ammunition, the positions of air defense and electronic warfare equipment, in particular the Zhitel automated jamming station. Total losses are being specified.
