Оккупанты хотят скрыть настоящую ситуацию: Котин о недопуске МАГАТЭ к реакторам ЗАЭС

The head of Energoatom, Petr Kotin, said that preventing IAEA experts from entering the reactor halls of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant is an attempt by the Russian invaders to hide the true situation at the occupied plant.

This was reported by the company's press service.

Kotin notes that the only legitimate operator of Europe's largest nuclear facility — Zanes NPP — is Energoatom, therefore only the return of the station under the full control of Ukraine can ensure its nuclear and radiation safety.

Now watching

– The only way out is the complete demilitarization and deoccupation of the Zaporizhia NPP and adjacent territories. This is a key prerequisite for restoring not only nuclear safety, but also respect for international law,” the head of Energoatom emphasized.

According to the International Atomic Energy Agency, specialists of the monitoring mission cannot gain access to all areas of the site, in particular to the reactor halls of blocks No. 1, 2 and 6 (this is where the reactor cores are located and spent nuclear fuel).

Access to some parts of the turbine halls of reactor units No. 3, 4 and 6, as well as to the roofs of the reactor compartments, remains limited.
