This happened on March 28 at about 10:00, when Konovalov and his wife were driving towards Genichesk. The relevant information was released by Yuriy Sobolevsky, deputy head of the Kherson regional council.

The politician was taken away, his wife was left behind

According to Sobolevsky, the Russian military abducted Konovalov after checking documents. After that, he lost contact. At the same time, the politician's wife was not touched, she remained in place. As a representative of the regional council explained, the occupiers have lists of “persons of interest” – and Konovalov was among them. Sobolevsky wrote to the message that the detained “servant of the people” was released. “Just reported that Alexei Konovalov is free,” he wrote.
