Russian troops have intensified operations in the Kharkov direction near the village of Liptsy, while the heaviest fighting continues in the Pokrovsky direction.
This was reported in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the evening of May 31.
According to the military, the number of military clashes along the entire front line has increased to 62.

— The most tense situation will remain in the Pokrovsky direction. The invaders are also trying to attack in the Kupyansky and Seversky directions. In addition, Ukrainian settlements are subject to shelling and airstrikes from the territory of the Russian Federation, — the message says.
In particular, Russian terrorists continue to fire from their territory along the border of Sumy and Chernigov regions. Artillery shelling from the territory of the Russian Federation was carried out on the Ukrainian settlements of Shalimovka, Vodolagi and Baryshevka.
In addition, the Ukrainian military indicates that the occupiers have become more active in the north of the Kharkov region, namely — near the village of Liptsy.
Situation at the front
On Kharkov direction the enemy became active near Liptsy.
— There is currently ongoing fighting there. From the direction of Belgorod, enemy troops struck with a guided aerial bomb on Neskuchny, from Shebekino, which is on the territory of the Russian Federation, they hit Yurchenkovo with two KABs, and Belyi Kolodets was hit by three KABs from the territory of the Russian Federation from the directions of Protonovka and Shebekino, — the message says.
On Kupyansk direction the occupiers increased the number of military clashes to seven. Three attacks by the Defense Forces units were successfully repulsed. Fighting continues near Petropavlovka and Berestovoy, as well as Novoegorovka with the support of aviation, where two KABs were dropped.
In Liman direction the enemy tried to storm Ukrainian positions in the Tern area. Had no success. The situation is under control.
The Russian occupiers do not give up attempts to push through our defenses in the Northern direction. Since the beginning of the day, the Defense Forces have already repelled five attacks here. Three more clashes continue in the areas of Belogorovka, Vyemka and Razdolovka.
On Kramatorsk direction the enemy attacks with air support. In the Druzhba area, a strike was carried out by 26 unguided aircraft missiles. In general, since the beginning of the day, 5 military clashes have already occurred in this direction. Now one is still ongoing near Andreevka.
In Pokrovsky direction Russian invaders are currently carrying out 11 assault operations. In total, since the beginning of the day there were already 22 of them. Our defenders successfully repulsed half of the enemy attacks. Now there are battles near Sokol, Nevelskoye, Netailovo and Evgenovka. At the same time, Vozdvizhenka and Alexandropol were hit by ten Russian KABs.
On Kurakhovsky direction the number of assault actions of the aggressor increased to four. Our soldiers repulsed two attacks, fighting continues near Novomikhailovka.
On Vremovsky direction the enemy has already attacked three times since the beginning of the day. Strike with a guided aerial bomb in the Staromayorsky area. Our soldiers repulsed all enemy attempts to advance forward.
On Orekhovsky direction to the three previous assault actions of the invaders, another one was added near Novodanilika. The enemy's attempt to advance was unsuccessful.
On Dnieper direction, in the area of the bridgehead on the left bank of the Dnieper, the Russian aggressor is trying to continue active operations near Krynok. Here, since the beginning of the day, our soldiers have already repelled four enemy assaults.
In other directions, the General Staff reported, the situation remains unchanged.
