The occupiers are pulling barges under the Antonovsky bridge – they want to make an alternative crossing

In the temporarily occupied Kherson, Russian occupiers are pulling barges under the Antonovsky bridge. They are put in one line to build an alternative crossing.

Kherson journalist Konstantin Ryzhenko published a corresponding video of the “efforts” of the occupiers. Obviously, the invaders still really need a crossing.

Russian soldiers continue to pull barges under the Antonovsky bridge. They put them in one line, they will try to make an alternative crossing, the message says.

According to Ryzhenko, in Stanislav the soldiers were replaced by the National Guard. And if we take into account the fact that the National Guard is not fighting, this means that they do not expect a counteroffensive there, and soldiers are needed elsewhere.

“There is an assumption that some kind of movement is being started on other parts of the front. In any case, according to observations, the Russians really need a crossing, and if they didn’t force it before, but now they are forcing it, conclusions,” the journalist notes.

The occupiers were left without the opportunity to transport equipment by bridges

Today the Armed Forces of Ukraine once again confirmed the hit, both on the Antonovsky bridge and on the Kahovsky. Consequently, regular strikes on bridges make it increasingly impossible for the occupiers to carry out logistics in the occupied territory of the Kherson region.

Why the efforts of the occupiers are in vain

  • bridges provide a high level of cargo transportation per unit of time – then, that no pontoon crossing can provide. It is clear that the crossings can compensate for the loss of the bridge, but the time for the transfer of forces and means increases significantly.
  • the loss of a full-fledged communication between the left-bank and right-bank groups of Russian occupation forces in the Kherson region is critical for the invaders .
