Consequences of the first shelling of the “Neutron Source” nuclear installation in Kharkov/State Nuclear Regulatory Commission
Occupiers do not stop hitting Kharkov. On March 26, the Neutron Source nuclear installation once again came under fire.
This was reported by the operating organization NSC KIPT, according to the State Nuclear Regulatory Authority. It is not yet possible to assess the extent of the damage, since hostilities in the area of the nuclear installation continue.

The State Nuclear Regulatory Authority emphasized that the “Source of Neutrons”, like any nuclear installation, is not designed for operation in combat conditions. If its shelling continues, this can lead to severe radiation consequences with dangerous contamination of nearby territories.
Let us recall that as a result of the first shelling by the occupiers of the “Source of Neutrons” at the nuclear installation no power supply. The staff tried to eliminate the consequences, and yesterday, March 25, the radiation situation at the site was within the normal range.
