Putin hopes to have at least some success in the war before May 9th. However, due to the atrocities that the Russians have committed in the Kiev region, there is little that can help his army.
Putin is in a hurry, because there is a month left until May 9th. Russian human rights activist Mark Feygin spoke about this on the air of Channel 24.
“I don't believe that in a month, given how they (the Russians – Channel 24) are fighting, one can achieve success,” the human rights activist said.
Too much is included in this “operation”, they relied on quick success, and if it is not given, the number of victims will be deafening. It will no longer be possible to ignore this, – said Mark Feygin.
No one will be taken prisoner, – Feygin
At the same time, he links the Russian atrocities in Bucha and other cities to their desperation. In addition to the fact that the Russian military leadership encourages its soldiers to commit atrocities, they cannot do anything to the Armed Forces of Ukraine – therefore they kill civilians.
“Such a story will end for them (occupiers – Channel 24) very sad, no one in They won't take prisoners. We had to at least think about how it would end for them and for those who would survive and take part in the battle in the East,” Feigin said.
