Common grave near Lysichansk/The New York Times (Tyler Hicks)
Journalists from the leading American edition of The New York Times published a terrible photo of a mass grave near Lisichansk. It accommodates about 300 civilians.
The mass grave in the vicinity of Lisichansk remains open. It is surrounded only by weeds with yellow petals.
According to journalists, the victims are civilians who died as a result of shelling in recent months in the cities of Lisichansk and Severodonetsk and the neighboring town of Rubizhne. Serhiy Veklenko, a Ukrainian law enforcement officer who joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said that people have been buried in this mass grave since April.
Infidels kill civilians
The number of dead civilians in Lisichansk and Severodonetsk is unknown. As Russia consolidates control over Severodonetsk and shifts its focus to neighboring Lysichansk, civilian casualties there are sure to rise.
On June 16, the Russian armed forces launched two air strikes on Lisichansk and hit the building where people were hiding. As a result of the shelling, the death toll increased to four people. The head of the Luhansk OVA said that seven more people were injured as a result of an air strike by the Russian military.
The invaders are trying to cut off Lisichansk
According to the Institute for the Study of War, the Russian the invaders want to cut off the Ukrainian lines of communication in Lisichansk. Meanwhile, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are trying to return Izyum and Lyman.
Russian infidels are firing artillery to the west and northwest of Izyum. And this may mean that Ukrainian troops are conducting a counteroffensive in this direction. If the counter-offensive north of Izyum is confirmed, then this means that the Ukrainian military wants to “break the Russian lines of communication in the area of Izyum and Liman.” That is, to return the settlements under control.
Mass graves in other regions
