Ukraine adopted Law 10449 On Mobilization, since the state needs to understand how many men are physically capable of military service, have military specialties, or have a third child.

In addition, the approach to a full-scale war with Russia is changing.

Speaker of the Ministry of Defense Dmitry Lazutkin spoke about this on air at the national telethon.

Mobilization in Ukraine — what is it for

According to him, a situation where some have been fighting for years without a break, while others continue to live their lives — is abnormal and must end.

— The striking difference that caught your eye every time you returned from Donbass to Kyiv or Lviv, or other peaceful cities, was not normal. Perhaps this would be normal if we had a weak enemy, but in our case the whole country, the whole society needs to mobilize, — the official emphasized.

So, according to Lazutkin, from May 18, all men from 18 to 60 years of age must clarify their data in the TCC and SP, it is possible to do this in the electronic account, as well as in the CNAP.

Mobilization in Ukraine — what will change for civil servants

Also, the representative of the Ministry of Defense indicated that the mobilization law will also affect the previous position of Ukrainian civil servants.

— Now officials of categories B (heads and deputy heads of government agencies) and B (other civil service positions) will be reserved only at 50%, and not at 100%, as before. Officials of category A (higher corps of civil service) remain reserved. In addition, pensioners of law enforcement agencies are also now being registered, — explained Lazutkin.

He added that these changes were discussed for a long time when the bill was written, since they remain an extremely sensitive topic and to a certain extent meet society’s demand for justice.
