—We, of course, know that drones are very important in this war. That's why we're joining the drone development coalition that Ukraine created with Latvia, along with other countries, to make sure that we do exactly that — we increase production, use the latest technologies and provide exactly what Ukraine needs, — she said.
The Dutch pledge is in addition to the provision of F-16 fighter jets, artillery, ammunition and air defense systems for military assistance to Ukraine.
Last month, Great Britain announced its participation in the drone coalition.
The other day, Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Development of Education, Science and Technology — Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mikhail Fedorov said that Kyiv has achieved a certain parity with Moscow in the production of long-range UAVs.
According to him, Ukraine plans to produce thousands of long-range drones in 2024. At the same time, production volumes of such drones are increasing.
