The Dutch company earned more than 1.6 million euros from the illegal Crimean bridge.
The Dutch company Dieseko paid into the Dutch budget 1 .78 million euros as part of an out-of-court settlement that began after the publication of data on participation in the construction of the Russian Kerch Bridge.
The Dutch prosecutor's office reported this.
In 2017, the media published an article about the participation of Dutch companies in the construction of the Crimean Bridge, on the basis of which the prosecutor's office and the Dutch Customs Service began a criminal investigation.
The supply of construction equipment to Dieseko later began to appear within its boundaries. It was alleged that the company in 2015-2016 sold free installations and related equipment for the construction of the Crimean Bridge, and also provided technical assistance – in particular, sent its mechanics to work on the site.
As a result, Dieseko was found guilty of violating sanctions legislation due to participation in the construction of the Crimean Bridge. Since the company had not been prosecuted before, the prosecutor's office agreed to a pre-trial settlement.
According to him, Dieseko will pay a fine of 180 thousand euros, and the “illegally obtained benefits” in the amount of 1.6 million euros will be confiscated in favor of the state. She also promised to take measures to avoid violating EU sanctions in the future.
Recall that military expert Vladislav Seleznev previously stated that the Ukrainian Defense Forces are gradually reducing the military presence of Russians in occupied Crimea, destroying their military facilities and weakening the combat capabilities of the occupiers on the peninsula.
