In the port of temporarily occupied Sevastopol, thanks to the actions of the Naval Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, on April 21, the Russian Black Sea Fleet vessel Kommuna caught fire.
This was stated by the representative of the Ukrainian Navy, captain of the third rank Dmitry Pletenchuk, in a comment to the publication Ukrainskaya Pravda.
– This event occurred with the direct participation of the Ukrainian Navy. The nature of the damage to the vessel is being clarified, but, according to preliminary information, the ship is no longer ready to perform tasks, — he said.

Pletenchuk explained that this ship is not a combat vessel, but, despite its venerable age, it served the Russian Black Sea Fleet and was working.
