The NATO summit ended in Washington on July 11, Ukraine has already received a lot of good news, for example, air defense systems will be supplied to our country. However, there is one important decision, the prospect of which is not yet resolved.

Head of the Center for Military Legal Research Alexander Musienko said 24 Channel that Ukraine will become a member of NATO, but there is no specific time frame yet. NATO considers the shooting down of Russian missiles by Poland over Ukraine an escalation.

Positive decisions

According to Musienko, Ukraine will receive air defense systems, F-16 aircraft, and 40 billion euros in 2025. The United States will continue to discuss the possibility of striking with American weapons deep into Russian territory, namely at airfields.

There are important decisions and statements in the final statement that Ukraine will be a member of NATO is inevitable, however, when there is consent to this, the leader noted.

He added , that there is no specification and time intervals when our country can become a member of the Alliance. However, the advantage remains the agreement of both parties, that is, Ukraine must fulfill all the conditions, there are no references to the fact that the war must first be ended.

Negative decision

Musienko said that Poland turned to NATO for a solution to shoot down Russian missiles and drones over western Ukraine, it really I wanted to help shoot down enemy targets. There was a discussion that those planes that Poland raises during an air raid will fly into the airspace of our country.

This is why we agreed that we are not against Poland helping us and being present in our airspace. In the end, we are going to NATO and we need to prepare for this, this is an absolutely normal trend,โ€ the leader explained.

However, the Alliance considers this an escalation, so There will be no such decision-making in the near future. The US may view this as direct intervention in the conflict.
