The National Security and Defense Council and the General Staff ask bloggers and journalists to refrain from assessing hostilities or logistics/Channel 24
Russia is a defendant adversary using all available information to destroy the civilian population of Ukraine and damage the Armed Forces. Any data unconfirmed by the central authorities turns into an enemy tool and works against the state.
This was once again noted at the Center for Counteracting Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The departments urged bloggers, journalists and opinion leaders to refrain from assessing the fighting or logistics.
What not to write in media and blogs
The Disinformation Counteraction Center asked:
- not to give assessments of military operations,
- not to publish decisions of commanders, in particular referring to “own sources”,
- disclose collateral data,
- do not distribute your forecasts as a peremptory fait accompli of the future.
Pay attention!Only the highest military leadership has complete information about military operations and can make reliable forecasts.
The departments reminded that by giving a public assessment, you can sow panic and create information drives for Russian propaganda.
Information disclosure rules:
- Do not broadcast the movement of the military.
- Do not film the places of shelling and air defense.
- Carefully check the information before its publication.
- Trust only official sources of information.

Early dissemination of information can be a reason for escalating hostilities
The day before, Anna Malyar spoke about the unfortunate incident . On April 29, a journalist published information about the liberation of the village of Russkaya Lozovaya in the Kharkiv region, adding some facts that should not have been disclosed. The information quickly became public and the Ministry of Defense had to confirm it. And already in the evening, at the newly liberated location, an aggravation began as a result of the activation of the enemy. Now it is known about 1 dead and 12 injured.
