- After the performance in the final, on May 14, the band's frontman Oleg Psyuk called on Europe to support Ukraine, save Mariupol and Azovstal, where our military is surrounded by invaders. Such a statement from the stage of the competition could threaten the disqualification of Ukraine, however, the organizers of the competition stated that they consider Psyuk's words not political, but a humanitarian appeal, taking into account the situation.
- After Oleg Psyuk spoke about Mariupol from the stage of the competition, the search Inquiries in the network grew – in Europe they began to be interested in what was happening at Azovstal. The defenders of Mariupol thanked the group for their support.
- As a result, the Kalush Orchestra triumphed, having received 631 points, of which a record 439 points were from viewers. 28 countries out of 39 gave Ukraine the highest score.
- After Ukraine's victory in the contest, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that our country would do everything possible to ensure that the next contest was held in rebuilt Mariupol.
- By the way, this is the third victory of Ukraine in the competition. Ruslana won for the first time in 2004 in Istanbul, and in 2016 Jamala triumphed in Stockholm.
